Vishwa Raj Mehra and Matteo Rossi Doria
September 5 - 7, 2007 Skaneateles, NY
This collaborative workshop presented different points of view blending American and European strategies for the conservation of paintings on canvas.
The philosophy of “Minimal Conservation Intervention” was presented through theory, discussion, and lecture, as well as practical hands on demonstrations of techniques. The goal of this workshop was to refine the conservator's critical thinking about problem solving structural problems in canvas paintings incorporating the life long passion of Vishwa Mehra's pioneering work and Matteo Rossi Doria's contemporary techniques.
