EDUCATION: BA. Studio Art, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, 1969.
APPRENTICESHIP in the studio of William Fraser Lowe (IIC Fellow), London England, Sept. 1969 to May 1975. Trained in all aspects of practical painting conservation, developing extensive manual and advanced inpainting skills, a reverence for fine art, and a discerning eye for aesthetics in visual results of treatments. Treated a broad range of European easel paintings with a concentration on 17th c. Old Masters. Served for last two years as Senior Conservator in charge of studio operations; responsible for the supervision and continued training of apprentices, the treatment of important paintings, and participating in the critique of all ongoing work.

LABORATORY:
Located in Central New York State since 1975, our 3800sq. ft. lab in a restored 19th c. mill provides comprehensive services for the preservation of paintings, paper, textiles and frames. Facilities for photo-documentation, framing, specialized lining equipment, including a 5'x8' negative pressure cold table, and 5' x 6' and 8' x 12' vacuum hot tables. Treatments include small paintings to oversized murals, fine art on paper, archival documents, maps and photographs, archival mounting of textiles and preservation framing. Documentation capabilities supported by an extensive art history library and computer databases. Our facility is enhanced by ample northern light and monitored security and fire detection systems.
