Services

The West Lake Art Conservation Center provides comprehensive conservation and preservation services for museums, private collectors, and families. As a state-of-the-art facility, we tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of each client and each object entrusted to our care.

Our conservation treatments support the long-term preservation of artwork and artifacts by restoring visual continuity, stabilizing condition issues, and ensuring proper housing for future generations. We work with a wide range of materials, including paintings, murals, painted objects, frames, archival documents, photographs, and works of art on paper.

Additional services include:

  • Preservation framing

  • Disaster response, mold remediation, and emergency treatment

  • Collections management and condition surveys

  • Onsite maintenance

  • Storage, transportation, and exhibition support

  • Consultation on art and artifacts, including research for treatment

  • Workshops, lab tours, lectures, and internship opportunities

Clients may schedule in-person appointments by phone for consultations and object drop-off. Our staff also offers remote consultations via video conferencing to review concerns, assess damage, and discuss treatment options. We are available to provide guidance on preventive conservation measures as well.
